With summer at our doorstep, most of us are already planning a vacation and trying out new swimsuit models. Everything’s well until you notice “the orange peel” – cellulite. Most women have cellulite on their thighs or other body parts. The problem is quite difficult to get rid of, but luckily, there are many simple ways to reduce its appearance until it becomes almost invisible. Continue reading below to see how to make your skin soft and smooth.
A Healthy Diet
There’s a common myth among women that if you lose weight, the cellulite will disappear as well. Things are not so simple. In fact, in order to eliminate your cellulite, you need to start eating healthy. Your diet should include fat-burning fruits such as grapefruit, a protein which you can find in egg and lean cuts of meat, fatty acids that can be found in fish and olive oil and lecithin as well (found in eggs, soybeans and tomatoes).
Drink Plenty Of Water
The best drink for our health is clean water and that’s a fact. You should aim for 1.5-2 l. per day without other drinks such as coffee or tea.
Cardio is the way to go for removing cellulite from your body. Regular cardio training will melt all the fat from your body and help you get in shape. You can try anything from walking, running, aerobics, rope jumping or sit-ups – there are countless options to pick from.
A nice self-massage or going to a professional can help remove the cellulite from your thighs. Aim for a massage with cups or special brushes which will boost your metabolism and melt away the subcutaneous layers of excess fat. Essential oils massages are also effective as they can boost the lymph circulation and work on deep tissues.
Scrubbing your body with either a sea salt or coffee scrub will remove the hard keratinized layer from the surface of your skin and improve your blood and lymph circulation, lending a hand in the process of cellulite removal.
The so-called contrast showers can boost your metabolism and circulation as the water pressure gets the lymph in your body moving. The liquid will then clean all the subcutaneous layers of skin and help reduce the appearance of cellulite. To try a contrast shower, direct the jet of water to the affected area, then massage with your fingers.
Saunas are another great way of boosting blood and lymph flow. They will make your skin smoother than ever and keep it elastic. The steam from the sauna will open up your sweat glands and allow detoxification, effectively helping move the lymph. Go to a sauna at least once a week and the results should be visible soon. Additionally, a mud or oil anti-cellulite wrap can also help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
All these methods work best when used in combination, as one might not be enough for your case. Do them all regularly and your cellulite will be a distant memory just in time for summer!
